INFO
Porta Portese has lost its identity as the heart of maritime on the Tiber River, once the nexus of commerce, the military economy, and navigation of the city’s waterway. A pending project to reclaim shipbuilding structures for the new Quadriennale di Roma base remains isolated at the edge of the degraded urban district.
Civic Synergy promotes a vibrant cultural hub that will increase the reach of the arts through creative partnership. Revitalized existing buildings along the Tiber riverfront and lining the ancient city wall will host exhibition spaces, flexible workshops, and culinary markets to strengthen community engagement. Pedestrian focused streetscapes, including slow zones and car free pathways, enhance walkability, promoting a healthier lifestyle and sustainable transportation. Civic Synergy integrates the area’s diverse functions and activities into a harmonious and interconnected urban framework.
